Abstract In this talk I will discuss a model of cell--cell force interaction. Experimental results and theory seem to contradict each other in this system. The model simulations allow us to investigate questions about how the Dictyostelium discoideum slug generates forces and moves, thereby giving plausible explanations for the apparent contradictions.
