Math Minor
- At least
18 semester hours of math courses.
- At
least 9 semester hours of the total must be upper-division
(300-level courses and above).
- At
least 2.0 GPA average in WSU math courses.
Comments:
- Transfer
credit does count. In particular, a differential
equations course counts as upper-division credit, no matter where it
was taken.
- Cross-listed
courses do count.
- Statistics
360 or 412 (but not both), 420, 423, 430, 443, and 456 do
count.
- Only
content courses count toward the minor. In particular, Math 300,
330, 351, 398, 431, 497 and 498 do not count. Math 499
may count with prior approval.
Procedure:
When
you have completed all of the requirements or if you are completing
the last requirement this semester, bring a copy of all of your
transcripts to Professor William Webb in Neill 230. That’s all
there is to it.
