   Error: In solving 4.6 #13, I calculated g(3) wrong. Should get:

      g(-1)=0, g(3)=0, Rolle's Thm does apply, g'(c)=0 for c=5/3.

For those with a lab (or other legitimate) conflict, there were two alternate times to take the exam:

  (1)  Right before the regular exam, Wed 11/8, 4:20 - 5:35 pm, in Todd 120.

  (2)  The morning after the regular exam, Thurs 11/9, 7:45 - 9:00 am, in the MLC.

You were to email your lecturer if you needed one of these times. In the email:

  * Use the subject line "Math 171 exam 2 conflict";

  * Give your name and ID number;

  * Say which time (early or late) you are hoping to take the exam;

  * Explain the reason you can't take the exam at the regular time (include the class number and section if it's a course conflict).
