Math 300: Mathematical Computing

Assignment 4

You must use SSH to adams, and then run the command "HW4". Do what it tells you. When it stops asking questions, you are done. This assignment is worth 10 points, and must be completed by 9 AM on Thursday, 21 September.

Hint: Many people have forgotten our discussion of SSH on the very first day of class. Recall that Windows users can download the program PuTTY as an SSH client. Linux and Mac users just open a terminal and type something like "ssh name###@adams.math.wsu.edu", where of course, name### is replaced by your account name. To run a command, just type the command.

The "final exam" for this course will take place at 8:00 AM on Tuesday, 12 December. This will be an ordinary 50 minute test. It will be comprehensive, but weighted toward the latter half of the semester. As always, paper notes will be permitted, but no electronic devices will be allowed. A sample exam is available.

A Solution example is available for the quiz. The solution to Test 1 is still available too.

The ultimate assignment is posted.
