Forwarding your email involves two parts.
1) Setting your WSU email account to forward to mail.wsu.edu.
2) Adding your Math email address to your WSU .forward file.
Part 1 - Setting your WSU
email account to forward to "your_WSU_login_name@mail.wsu.edu"
- Go to the WSU home page
- Go to the Faculty/Staff page
- Choose the "einfo-Center" link (one of the circles at
the top of the page)
- Choose the "ADDRESS & E-MAIL" link in the left frame
- Choose the "Forward My E-Mail" link
- Enter your Network ID and password
- Select the "Change your e-mail forwarding address"
option and press "Continue"
- Enter your e-mail forwarding address which will
be: your_WSU_login_name@mail.wsu.edu
Part II - Setting up a .forward file in your WSU Unix email account
using the pico editor
(Note: the following instructions are for a Windows
machine. If you are using Linux, open a terminal and telnet or
ssh into wsunix.wsu.edu)

- Press "Start" on the Windows machine
- Press "Run..." and then click "OK" to open a command
line terminal
- At the command line prompt, type: telnet
wsunix.wsu.edu -l your_WSU_login_name@wsu.edu (enter all this on one line and then press Enter)
- Enter your WSU Network ID login name and password
- After the prompt (which will be something like
unicorn:/users/wsunix/your_login_name [27%]%), type: pico (space)
.forward, and then press Enter
- You are now inside the .forward file. Type your
Math Department email address here.
- Press the Enter button to save the file
- Next, simultaneously press the the Ctrl button and the
X button, to exit
- Type exit to get out of pico
