Due to a strange instructor oversight, we somehow missed covering section 11.2 today. To adjust for this unexpected (but really fairly minor) schedule deviation, please note the following changes:

Homework 3: Only section 11.1 will be due on Thursday, May 21.

Exam 2: We will not cover 11.2 on Exam 2 (there was only one short question from that section anyway). You can skip questions 15, 25 and 26 on the study guide. These are from section 11.2.

Class schedule: We will discuss 11.2 briefly on Tuesday, May 26. The assigned questions from section 11.2 will be due as extra credit at the beginning of class on Thursday, May 28.

Please let me know if you need any clarification on this. I apologize for the confusion.

Welcome to Math 105! I hope you will find this website useful. All of the important announcements will be given in class, of course ... but if you should miss a class, check here periodically in case there is something new.

The most useful tool you will find here is probably the calendar. If you have trouble keeping track of when things are due or if you need to know what material was covered in class on a day that you missed, this might help you. Another helpful link is the study tools page, which will contain sample exams with solutions. On the assignments page you will find links to the homework assignments and the occasional extra credit. The grade page will take you to a password-protected page where you can see your assignment and exam grades.

As new announcements are added to this page, older ones will be removed to make space. You can find removed announcements in the announcement archives.
