Anna Johnston

Adjunct Faculty

Anna Johnston is a cryptographic researcher at Juniper Networks, with previous experience at multiple national research laboratories, academia, and private industry. Dr. Johnston obtained her PhD at the University of London (Royal Holloway College) and holds an MS in Operations Research. Her current research is on new cryptographic modes of operation which help improve cryptographic strength and integrity, protects against ransomware attacks, and has applications in the balancing of privacy and security.

Dr. Johnson's research interests are cryptography, error correction, data compression, discrete optimization, and other areas of applied discrete mathematics.
