Hacker Scholar - Undergraduate Research Scholarship

Spring 2018

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics is offering five Hacker Undergraduate Research Scholarships to support research and creative activities by undergraduate students who are certified within their mathematics major. A scholarship of $2,000 for spring 2018 tuition will be granted to qualifying undergraduate students. Each student will continue or initiate a research or creative project, under the guidance of a regular (tenured, tenure-track or clinical) faculty member, or members, within the department. Toward the end of spring 2018 recipients will create a research poster and present it during the department's annual Scholarship and Awards Ceremony that will be held on April 26th, 2018. This scholarship is named after Sidney G. Hacker, a longtime faculty member and department chair who was instrumental in establishing the PhD program in mathematics at WSU.

Application Deadline:   Wednesday, November 29, 2017
