Inland Northwest Mathematics Experience (IN_ME)
November 3rd and 4th, 2005

The third annual Inland Northwest Mathematics Experience (IN_ME) was held on the Washington State University Pullman campus, on November 3rd and 4th, 2005. High school and junior high students from throughout the Pacific Northwest arrived on campus to participate in hands-on mathematical exercises. The following are random photos that were taken throughout both days (the photos are not in any particular order).

A special thanks to contributors of the event. Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. of Pullman, Washington, provided a $1,500 event donation, the WSU College of Sciences provided payment of lunch for all students, and the WSU Department of Mathematics contributed $300 for the two-day event. WSU Student Events provided rooms for the activities held in the Compton Union Building (CUB), and the Science Learning Instructional Center (SLIC) provided use of computer labs. Dr. Kim Vincent, of the Department of Mathematics, organized the event and WSU students enrolled in Math 330 - Secondary Mathematical Methods, created the hands-on exercises for participating students. The student organization, PreToM (Preservice Teachers of Mathematics) hosted the event and facilitiated all mathematics activities.
