2013 Ostrom Lecture

"Mathematics of Crime"

Please join us for an informative discussion by this year's Ostrom Lecture invited guest lecturer Andrea L. Bertozzi, Professor of Mathematics and the Betsy Wood Knapp Chair for Innovation & Creativity, and Director of Applied Mathematics at UCLA. Dr. Bertozzi will discuss mathematical modeling of residential burglaries and gang crimes.

A reception will immediately follow in the Hacker Lounge, Neill Hall 216, with free refreshments.






Dr. Bertozzi will also be presenting the more technical post Ostrom Colloquium on Thursday, March 28, 2013, at 4:10pm in Neill Hall 5W.
