Applied Math Seminar : Comparison of Monte Carlo simulations of cytochrome b6f - experiment of Latin hypercube sampling

3:15 PM; Neill Hall 3W

Mark Schumaker

Abstract: This talk describes how Latin hypercube sampling is used to fit a complicated model to large sets of noisy experimental data. Models involve 15 and 22 free parameters. The sampling method is easy to parallelize; computations are made on the Beowulf cluster. Results are surprisingly good.
