Algebra Seminar: Typing mathematics "on the fly" in MSWord 2007's Equation Editor
2009-02-02
1:10 pm; Neill Hall 106W
Matt Hudelson
Abstract: I want to demonstrate some of the features in the newest Equation Editor (EE) as I use it in my lectures. Specifically, there are numerous keyboard shortcuts built into EE that allow one to circumvent the otherwise clunky GUI. The kind folks at MicroSoft incorporated many of the LaTeX backslash commands that make it possible to enter such commands directly into one's documents. The demo will include how to put in more complicated structures such as integrals, sums, and matrices.
