Combinatorial Geometry Seminar: Organizational Meeting
4:10pm, Neill Hall 5W
It's time for the Combinatorial Geometry Seminar to start up for the spring semester. We meet on Mondays from 4:10 to 5:00 in 5W. We typically have talks given by the organizers (Duane DeTemple, Matt Hudelson, and Bill Webb), other interested faculty, and we especially encourage students to contribute talks during the semester as well (you can sign up for 2 credits in this case.) "Combinatorial Geometry" is loosely interpreted for purposes of this seminar; talks on geometry, combinatorics, graph theory, finite mathematics, and related subjects are welcome. Also, we encourage seminar participants to interact with the speaker during the seminar, so "talk" is also loosely interpreted as well. Students who wish to sign up for the seminar should register for Math 584. Sign up for one credit if you wish to attend regularly, and for two credits if you are willing to give a talk at some point during the semester. We will get organized Monday, January 9, at 4:10 in Neill 5W.
